Power Dialer

The Benefits and Uses of Power Dialers

A power dialer has many benefits and is a fantastic tool for companies of any size in any industry. It can come in many different styles, from an actual piece of hardware connected to the company’s telephone system, to software-based or web-based platforms.

What are the benefits?

A power dialer enhances the overall efficiency of a company by only connecting the call to an agent if the current lead answers the phone. Since the power dialer will only initiate a call to the next lead on the list if an agent is available, the increase in agent availability directly causes an increase in connected calls. If the current lead does not answer the phone, the power dialer can be setup to automatically leave a voice message for the lead without requiring the interaction of an available agent and further increasing availability and productivity.

How are companies using them?

Many companies across the globe are using a power dialer for marketing strategies, cold calling, collections, customer follow-ups and many other areas of their business. A sales person may have a list of possible customers, load them into the power dialer and continue about their day writing emails and proposals until a lead from the list answers the call. Credit card companies will transfer the information of overdue customers to their collections department, which will add the customers to their power dialer in hopes of contacting them for a payment. Service companies will add the customers to their dialer system after a service contract has been completed as a way to follow up with the customer, determine if the customer was satisfied with the provided service and offer further information on other products or services the customer may be interested in.

A power dialer can be a powerful tool for a company, presenting quick and easy lead connection without wasting time and valuable company resources.
